Cajun Fest: Boil & Brew

Fest is the Mardi Gras of the Midwest, an all-day celebration of Cajun culture through food, music, and interactive entertainment, brought to life by Louisiana transplants and Iowan natives aiming to add some spice to Iowa nice.

After joining the volunteer krewe to provide creative support in 2023, I took leadership reigns as Head of Marketing & Creative to lead all marketing, communications, PR, & creative efforts.

In my time with Cajun Fest, I accomplished;

• New visual refresh for the festival.

• Revamped Meta advertisement campaigns with ad sets achieving 10-15% average CTR to grow account followers by 100% and increase Facebook event responses by 300%.

• Acquire earned media and news spots with Who13, Des Moines Register, DSM Magazine, We Are Iowa Local 5 News, and more.

• Marketing efforts resulted in sold-out events back-to-back in 2025 & 2026.
